Chinese Dumplings Recipe

Chinese dumplings

Ingredients:

– 1/2 pound ground pork, beef, lamb or shrimp
– 1 stalk scallion, minced
– 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 inch piece ginger, minced
– Dumpling wrappers

Preparation:

In a bowl, mix all ingredients except wrappers together well. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of a wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half, enclosing the filling and use a little water to make the edges stick together. Continue making dumplings until you have enough. Bring a pot of water to boil, and place enough dumplings inside to fill the bottom of the pot, but not more. Stir gently to prevent the dumplings from sticking to the bottom of the pot, and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the dumplings become slightly puffy. Serve with vinegar.
