Chinese BBQ Pork (Char Siu) Recipe

Chinese barbeque pork (also known as Cha Shao, Char Siu or Char Siew) is a popular meat dish that is amazingly simple to make.

Ingredients:

– 2 lb pork shoulder
– 4 tablespoons honey
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons Chinese rice wine
– 1 teaspoon five-spice powder

Method:

Mix all ingredients together and marinate the pork in the sauce in the fridge overnight. The next day, heat an oven to 375 degrees F, and roast the pork for 15 minutes. Take out, brush any remaining sauce onto the meat, and roast for another 15 minutes. Cut the meat into slices, and serve.
