Carrot Diet? Try A More Balanced Approach

carrot-diet

It’s something I see over and over again: when people go on a diet, they restrict themselves to only eating a particular type of food. The carrot diet. The cucumber diet. The cabbage soup diet. At last, the solution to all your problems! If only things were that easy.

Don’t Just Do A Carrot Diet

Staying on these types of diets for a prolonged period of time is not only unrealistic, but harmful as well. You’re depriving your body of the nutrients you would get from a balanced diet. This results in intense cravings, which is why you usually go back to your old eating habits, and eat even more than you did before.

Instead, realize that these foods are not “miracle solutions” to your weight problem. They are simply low-calorie, healthy foods that should be eaten as part of a healthy diet, not as the entire diet. A balanced diet contains fruits, vegetables, grains, and a moderate amount of meat, fats and oils.

In Asia, this has been the traditional way of eating for thousands of years, and very few people there are overweight. Asians are extremely health-conscious and their entire lifestyle revolves around eating good food to maintain their health, youth, and energy.

If you are interested in learning more about the traditional Asian diet and lifestyle, I invite you to explore the rest of my site. I guarantee you will find something to take away that will improve your life. So forget about that carrot diet, and let’s eat like normal healthy people do.
